Abstract:
ABSTRACT
The purposes of this research were to: 1) study the level of risk management of schools under the Institute of Vocational Education Central Region 4; 2) study the level of achievement of vocational education management standards; and 3) analyze the risk management affecting the achievement of vocational education management standards. The research sample was 242 school administrators and teachers derived by stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher with the content validity between 0.67 and 1.00. The internal consistency reliability coefficients were 0.96 for risk management and 0.95 for vocational education management standards. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearsons product moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression.
The findings of this research were as follows:
1. Overall, the risk management of schools under the Institute of Vocational Education Central Region 4 was at a high level. When considering each aspect, all aspects were at a high level. The highest aspect was regulation, followed by finance, strategy, and operation respectively.
2. Overall, the achievement of vocational education management standards of schools under the Institute of Vocational Education Central Region 4 was at a high level. When considering each aspect, all aspects were at a high level. The highest aspect was policy implementation, followed by teaching and learning, curriculum, and management respectively.
3. The aspects of risk management affecting the achievement of vocational education management standards of schools under the Institute of Vocational Education Central Region 4, in the descending order, were operation (X2), regulation (X4), strategy (X1), and finance (X3). These aspects together predicted the achievement of vocational education management standards (Ytot) at the percentage of 68.60 with statistical significance at .05 level. The regression equation was Ŷtot= 0.82 + 0.27(X2) + 0.27(X4) + 0.17(X1) + 0.17(X3).
