Abstract:
This research aimed to study (1) the level of the work motivation and work efficiency of the operational staff of Pak Kret Royal Irrigation Department, Nonthaburi Province, (2) the comparison of the work efficiency of these staff according to personal factors, and (3) a relationship between the work motivation and the work efficiency of these staff. The sample group used in this research consisted of the operational staff of Pak Kret Royal Irrigation Department, Nonthaburi Province, totaling 356 samples. The research instruments used in the research were questionnaires, and the statistics used in the research were analysis by percentage, mean, standard deviation, as well as structural equation analysis.
The research results revealed that (1) the overall level of work motivation was high on average. Considering each factor, it was found that success in work, acceptance of work, the nature of work performed, responsibility, and the promotion of a job position were overall at a high level on average. Meanwhile, the overall level of work efficiency of the employees was high on average. Considering each factor, it was found that the overall quality of work, quantity of work, and working time were also high on average. (2) Comparing the work efficiency of the staff according to personal factors, it was found that differences in the personal factors of the staff in terms of gender, age, education levels, and the average monthly income caused differences in the level of work efficiency, which met the statistical significance level of 0.05, and (3) the overall motivation was positively correlated with the overall work efficiency, which met the statistical significance level of 0.05.
