Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze humanistic aspects appearing in Thai Textbooks for Integrated Literature Series for senior high school students, Academic Department, the Ministry of Education. Three humanistic aspects from 33 literary works were considered: human as being individual, human with human, and human with social institutes. The study analyzed the data according to the purposes and the research result was presented by the descriptive analysis method. The study reveals that the humanistic aspects of human as being individual include knowing and understanding oneself in specific characters or one's own unity; having love and understanding love; being hopeful, desirable, responsible, self-confident, diligent, patient, and reasonable; understanding life, and being intelligent, calm, economical, prosperous, careful and faithful people. The humanistic aspects as human with human include being kind, relative, sharing, honor, fair, equaled, optimistic, gratified, satisfied with thing one has, polite, good mannered, delighted when the others are happy, helpful to public, harmonious and willing to sacrifice. The humanistic aspects as human with social institutes include the following. The human with nation aims to protect and separate the pride of the nation and develop the qualification of the population to create important power in developing country. The human with the religion aims to restore the religion and take the Dhamma principles to apply in everyday life usefully. The human with leadership aims to be loyal and to realize the gracious deeds of the King. The human with education aim to realize the importance of education. The human with the art and culture aims to conserve and disseminate the national art and culture. The human with nature and environment aims to preserve the value of the nature and environment.
