Effects of organizing non-formal education activities on knowledge, attitude, and application of sufficiency economy philosophy in daily life of armed forces in Bangkok metropolis
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to 1)develop the non-formal education activities to develop on knowledge, attitude, and application of sufficiency economy philosophy in daily life of armed forces in Bangkok metropolis. 2)compare effects of knowledge, attitude, and application of sufficiency economy philosophy in daily life of armed forces in Bangkok metropolis between before and after experiment. 3)compare effects of knowledge, attitude, and application of sufficiency economy philosophy in daily life of armed forces in Bangkok metropolis between control and experiment group. 4) study participants' satisfaction towards non-formal education activities after the experiment. This research was quasi-experimental. The population were 370 armed forces. The sample were 40 armed forces. They were divided into 2 group: 20 were in the experimental group and 20 were in the controlled group. The activities were organized for 51 hours. The research instruments were the activities plan, the knowledge test, the attitude test. The skill test, the follow up interview and the evaluation form. The data were analyzed by using Means [x-bar], Standard Deviation (S.D.), and independent-samples t (t-test) at .05 level of significance. The results of this study were : 1. The program's processes were; (1) needs finding, (2) activities design, (3) activities management and (4) learning evaluation 2. There were significant differences at the .05 level among the means of knowledge, attitude, and application of sufficiency economy philosophy in daily life of the experimental group between before and after the experimental group. 3. There were significant differences at the .05 level among the means of knowledge, attitude, and application of sufficiency economy philosophy in daily life after the experimental between the controlled group and the experimental group 4. After participated in non-formal education activities, the participants had satisfaction towards activities at the highest level.
