Abstract:
This work is the model and fabrication of crude glycerol and used vegetable oil burner for cube mushroom steaming oven. By using different volume ratio fuel as glycerol 100%, used vegetable oil 100%, glycerol 50%/used vegetable oil 50%, glycerol 25%/used vegetable oil 75% and glycerol 10%/used vegetable oil 90% for equivalence ratio at combustion chamber length 40 cm. The simulation applied chemical equilibrium method where the fuel mixture is specified by the way of its C-H-O-N values and curve-fit coefficients are employed to simulate air and fuel data along with frozen composition. The effects of mole ratio of the Ethanol-NGV mixture, equivalence ratio ( = 0.6-1.0), pressure ratio (Pin/Pamb = 3.0-4.0). At the chamber diameter and length 0.3 cm. and ratio of ignition-chamber length (Lig/L = 0.2-0.3) gases on pressure temperature profiles, thermal efficiency is presented. Performance summary, it can create burner size. These two types of fuel mix. The 750 mushrooms can be steamed at this furnace stage size, the furnace has an internal temperature between 450 oC to 550 oC and the flame temperature is between 460 oC to 540 oC the flow rate boiling water 6.1 m3/ min steam temperature 112 oC, combustion gas contains H2 0-3% air, 70-75% CH4 0-3% and CO2 15-25%, which has quite good combustion efficiency. It has an operating flame temperature range of 450-550 oC, the calculation of the furnace efficiency of 82%, the combustion efficiency of 90% and the boiler efficiency of 72%. It was found that the payback period was 2 years and the working time was less than about 2 hours per time steamed mushroom.
