Abstract:
The purpose of this study was fourfold. First, it aimed at examining a level of
quality of work life among government officials working for Office of Provincial Land Transport,
Chon Buri Province. Also, this study intended to investigate a level of organizational commitment
among these government officials. The third purpose of this study was to compare the level of
quality of work life of these officers based on their personal factors. The last purpose of this study
was to compare the level of organizational commitment among these government officers
classified by personal factors. The population of this study was 74 government officers working
for Office of Provincial Land Transport, Chon Buri Province. The instrument used to collect the
data was a questionnaire. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included
frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, and mean comparisons. The results of this
study were as follows:
The quality of work life of the government officers was found at a good level
(μ = 3.70, σ = 0.50). Also, the level of organizational commitment was rated at the highest level
(μ = 4.24, σ = 0.56). Based on the results from the comparisons, there was a difference in the
level of quality of work life among the government officers who had different personal factors.
Finally, a difference was found in the level of organizational commitment among the government
officers who had different personal factors.
