Abstract:
This research is quantitative research aimed at; 1) Studying the job satisfaction of
foreign workers in Lan Pho market, Chonburi; 2) studying job changes of foreign workers in
Lan Pho market and; 3) studying factors related to job change of foreign workers in Lan Pho
market, Chonburi province. The researcher collected data from foreign workers working in
Lan Pho market, Naklua, Chonburi province. A total of 123 questionnaires were administered.
The statistics used in the analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The Chi square
test was used to statistically used to test the hypothesis.
The study found that; 1) Foreign workers in Lan Pho market were satisfied with their
jobs overall as well as within themselves individually; 2) 93.50% of foreign workers in
Lan Pho market, Naklua, Chonburi did not want to change jobs within the first month, whereas
6.50% were thought about changing their jobs or resigned, with 50% of the 6.50% being caused
by family related situations and; 3) the test results show that sex, age, nationality, religion, foreign
worker status and the type of shop where foreign workers work has no relation to job change. The
current working age and job satisfaction are correlated with job displacement of foreign workers
in Lan Pho market being statistically significant at .05
