Abstract:
With the new medical center hospital of MFU opened, there will have the rapid increase in patients, the pharmacy operation and the medicine management are important to improve the efficiency and patients service. The main goal of this paper is about the irregular medicine forecasting of pharmacy. The first, using two indicators that CV (Coefficient of variation) and ADI (Average inter-demand interval) to define the pattern of each medicine. Second, forecast of medicine is separated to three approaches to get the better MSE results. The general, irregular and Kalayas approach to forecasting of medicines. The general forecasting is using Moving Average, Weight Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing and Holt Winter Additive. The irregular forecasting is using Crostons, TSB and SBA. The Kalayas approach is using the different periods in irregular forecasting to get the results. The finding shows that the forecasting of each medicines can help the hospital to get the better operation.
