Abstract:
This research has a method of conducting research in combination between qualitative
research and quantitative research. The objective is to study the Management Model of Agricultural
Information to Farmers, and study on the use of agricultural information management, as well as
preparing a guideline for the management model of agricultural informal to farmers for benefits usage.
For the sampling group, the in-depth interviews are taken with the information management of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives on 5 people to study the current model, and the desirable form
of information development is agricultural information for the experimental research to test agricultural
information by collecting agricultural information weekly from all sectors. The samples were processed
through 6 synthesis analyzes for agricultural information, and were sent to farmers who had rice
cultivation in 3 regions of 3 provinces with high rice cultivation area for the maximum of 120
persons. After that, the evaluation for benefit use was taken, divided into once per 3 weeks, totally the
three-month trial period and the benefit usage evaluation was taken for 4 times. For the group
conversation to confirm the form and the benefit usage from the received Agricultural Information is
applied on 9 people. Research tools include Interview Questions, and Group discussion questions. The
evaluation by using SPSS analysis was used to analyze basic statistics.
From the research result, it was found that Management Model of Agricultural Information
to Farmer should be done through the Agricultural Information Processing Center. The agricultural
information is collected through the analysis process and synthesize them into agricultural information
before sending them to farmers. The result of the experiment was to apply the model of agricultural
information management to the sampling farmer groups who have rice cultivation career, and then
evaluate the Information to use for benefits on career from all factors of Information such as 1) The
environment that affects crops, 2) government policy, 3) Economic, social and agricultural situation, 4)
Cost of production and prices, 5) cultivation and value adding of agricultural products, and 6)
information related to support from the institutes and related organizations. From all four evaluations,
the information used as benefit was evaluated as a very good level and the best level, and the model of
agricultural information management was confirmed by experts in agricultural information
management, experts on the development of digital communications, and farmers who experimented
with agricultural information. The development guidelines for use can be applied to agricultural
information management to set up a policy for the establishment of an agricultural information center
with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in the future.
