Abstract:
The objectives of this independent study were to: 1) study the personal factors affecting work efficiency and 2) study job satisfaction correlated with the work efficiency of the personnel.
The samples used in this study were 122 personnel in the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization). The research instruments were a questionnaire and an in-depth interview. The statistics used for data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. One-way Analysis of Variance and Pearsons Correlation Coefficient were used to test the hypothesis.
The results of the study revealed that 1) personal factors such as gender, age and education level did not affect the efficiency of work performance. Personal factors such as income, positions, and duration of work affected the work efficiency with the statistical significance at the level of 0.05. 2) Job satisfaction: career success (Sig. = 0.000 **), regarding being respected (Sig. = 0.001 **), work performance (Sig. = 0.000 **), responsibility (Sig. = 0.000 **), getting promotion (Sig. = 0.003 **), salary (Sig. = 0.002 **), career progression (Sig. = 0.000 **), relationship between supervisors and colleagues (Sig. = 0.000 **), policy and management (Sig. = 0.000 **), work conditions (Sig. = 0.001 **) , personal life (Sig. = 0.000 **), job security (Sig. = 0.000 **), and the methods of governing (Sig. = 0.000 **) correlated with overall work efficiency with the statistical significance at the level of 0.05
