Abstract:
The study was carried out to study and design of smart package design for food preparation catering to health concious consumers without microwave. The purpose of this study were : 1) to study food consumption behaviour of health conscious consumers, 2) to design intelligent food packaging of ready meal, 3) to evaluate consumer satisfaction of intelligent ready meal packaging. The questionnaires distributed to 50 consumers who worked at office around Sathorn area. The samples were luminaries and the experts in packaging design for 3 persons. And the luminaries and the experts in marketing field for 3 persons as well. The samples were selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments were interview forms and questionnaires for the luminaries, the experts in packaging design and also the luminaries and the experts in marketing field. Percentage, mean and standard deviation was used for data analysis.
The result from the efficiency evaluation analysis based on 3 designs were 1. Smart package for ready meal design 1 2. Smart package for ready meal design 2 3. Smart package for ready meal design 3. According to the results, package design 1 got the highest level of satisfaction for smart package.
The result from consumer satisfaction towards 3 designs of smart package to serve convenient way of health concious consumers lifestyle, showed that smart package design 1 got the highest level of consumer satisfaction.
The finding indicated that packaging design 1 appropriate in very high level (x̄ = 3.49, S.D. = 0.36). This is suitable to be used as intelligent ready meal packaging for health conscious consumers
