A Study of Current Status and Student Satisfaction on 2B-KMUTT Learning Management Program Proposed by King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi as a Research University
Abstract:
This research aimed to study current status and student satisfaction on 2B-KMUTT learning
management program offered by King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, typically
recognized as a research university. Based on Krejcie and Morgan's Table for determining sample
size, 233 students were selected as a research sample by means of stratified random sampling. A set
of questionnaire was employed as a research tool. Data were collected during the first semester of
the academic year 2010. Statistical package software was used for data analysis with a view to
studying percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing by One-Way Analysis of
Variance (One-Way ANaVA). The results of this study can be summarized as follows: The current
status of students participating in 2B-KMUTT learning management program was respectively rated
as 'good' in terms of physical status (X = 4.13, S.D. =.31), research proficiency (X = 4.14 , S.D.
=.34), and social aspect (X = 4.12 , S.D.= .42). According to student satisfaction on the 2BKMUTT
learning management program proposed by King Mongkut's University of Technology
Thonburi as a Research University, high satisfaction was rated for learner, environmental, and
instructor perspectives (X = 4.14, S.D. = .37, X = 4.13, S.D. = .31, and X = 3.75, S.D. = .28 in
respective order). With a comparison study on the current status of students from different faculties,
no significant difference was found in physical, research, and social aspects (P > .05). 4.)The results
of the comparison study revealed that students with different learning achievement levels had no
significant difference in learner, environmental, and instructor aspects of learning satisfaction
(P>.05).
