Abstract:
The aim of this research is to develop the volumetric efficiency of hydraulic pump machine tester
by using three higher accuracy sensors: temperature, pressure and volume flow rate sensor. Upon
this condition, the temperature sensor can measure range form -20 c to 150 C. In the case of
pressure, it ranges from 0 bar to 414 bar and 7.5 LPM to 150 LPM for the volume flow rate sensor.
All sensors are sending the electrical signal through receiver device called Data Acquisition (DAQ)
The data from testing is recorded and displayed on computer by using the LabVIEW program. The
results of experiment based on a new hydraulic pump machine tester are calibrated with the standard
hydraulic pump tester. The results shown that the mean percentage errors of temperature and
volume flow rate are 1.59 and 0.44, respectively. According to pressure between 50 bar and 160 bar,
the mean of percentage errors is 3.08. Furthermore, the volume flow rate and volunietric efficiency
of piston hydraulic pump's VICKER model. PVB5 model is tested on hydraulic pump machine
tester. From the VICKER specification, it is able to create the volume flow rate up to 5 GPM (18.9
LPM). When the volume flow rate is 4.9 GPM (18.5 LPM) and the volumetric efficiency is 98 to
92 % by testing on this tester.
