Abstract:
The purposes of this independent study were to study: 1) the level of leadership styles, motivation, and job performance of production staff, 2) the comparison of personal factors namely sex, age, educational level, marital status, working experience, and income of production staff, and 3) the influence of leadership styles and motivation affected the job performance of production staff.
The samples consisted of 318 production staff members of Valeo Comfort and Driving Assistance Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The research instrument was a questionnaire checked with the content validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics including frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test, One-way ANOVA, and multiple regression to test the hypothesis.
The study results showed that 1) the supervisors had leadership levels, and the overall job performance at a medium level. Most respondents had a high level of motivation in general; 2) the comparison of opinions towards the job performance classified by personal factors showed that age, educational level, and working experience had no influence on the job performance, whereas this performance differed on sex, marital status, and income; 3) in addition, it was found that leadership style and the motivation affected the job performance of the production staff with statistical significance at the level of 0.05.
