Study on results of using the geometer's sketchpad(GSP) on relation between two-dimensional geometric figures and treedimensional geometric figures for Matthayomsuksa 1
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1) Draw lesson plans using GSP program on
relation between two-dimensional geometric figures and three dimensional geometric figures for
matthayom suksa 1, 2) to study on results of achievement motivation of lesson plans using GSP
program on the relation between two-dimensional geometric figures and three dimensional
geometric figures for matthayom suksa 1, 3) to compare mathematics learning outcomes between
the GSP program on the relation between two-dimensional geometric figures and three
dimensional geometric figures method and traditional method for matthayom suksa 1.
The participants was 2 classes of matthayom suksa 1 students, in the 2
nd
semester,
academic year 2016, Angthong Patthamarot Witthayakhom school, Muang, Angthong under the
secondary educational service area office 5, which were chosen by cluster random sampling.
There were 52 students learning with GSP program and another 52 students learning with
traditional method. The research instrument were 1) lesson plans using GSP program on the
relation between two-dimensional geometric figures and three dimensional geometric figures for
matthayom suksa 1, 2) achievement tests on the relation between two-dimensional geometric
figures and three dimensional geometric figures for matthayom suksa 1, 3) questionnaire on
mathematics achievement motivation. Statistic of analysis used in this research was the average
value, standard deviation, percentage and dependent t-test.
The research results fourd that 1) the average score of drawing lesson plans on relation
between two-dimensional geometric figures and three dimensional geometric figures for
matthayom suksa 1 had efficiency E1
/E2
of81.26/ 80.71 percent which higher than 75/75, 2) the

34 students who learn about the relation between two-dimensional geometric figures and three
dimensional geometric figures by using GSP program had increase high score of achievement
motivation, 3) the students who learn on the relation between two-dimensional geometric figures
and three dimensional geometric figures by using GSP program had higher scores than students
who learn in traditional method, 4) the students who learn on the relation between twodimensional geometric figures and three dimensional geometric figures using GSP program get
higher mathematics than traditional method. They had statistically significant difference at 0.05.
