A Construction of Learning Management Plan for Automobile Electric Subject upon Competency Based Curriculum According to Qualification of Vocational Certification Level
Abstract:
This research was experimental research. The objectives were to construct, to determine quality, and
to determine efficiency of the learning management plan for automobile electric subject upon
competency based curriculum. Also, the comparative study of learning achievement between
content based curriculum and competency based curriculum and study of satisfaction level of
competency based curriculum students in automobile electric subject. The population of research
were 44 students at Luangphorkhoon Prarisutho Technical College. The sample groups were
divided into 2 groups with 22 students in each group. The research tools were as follows: 13
modules of learning management plan for automobile electric subject upon competency based
curriculum within 108 hours of learning time. The questionnaires were evaluated by 5 experts with
covered curriculum and items objective congruency index (lOC) be equal to 0.88, in term of
contents, and evaluation of quality of learning management plan. The theoretical tests using 4
multiple choices of 60 problems (60 points) were to learning achievement. The difficulty index (p)
is equal to 0.21-0.58 and the discrimination index (r) is equal to 0.25-0.67. Besides, 8 practical tests
determined learning achievement. The statistics used for analyzing were percentage, mean, standard
deviation and t-test.
The results found as follows:
1. The quality of learning management plan for automobile electric subject upon
competency based curriculum was very good (X =4.61, SD=O.1l)
2. The efficiency of the learning management plan for automobile electric subject upon
competency based curriculum was equal 87.03/86.93. The results showed that efficiency were
higher than the settling criterion of 80/80. Therefore, learning management plan for automobile
electric subject upon competency based curriculum was able to utilize for teaching.
3. The comparison of learning achievement of students, who studied on competency based
curriculum and content based curriculum by using t-test, showed that there was significance of
difference at 0.05 levels of both theoretical and practical part.
4. The satisfaction level of sample students to automobile electric subject upon
competency based curriculum was good level (X =4.45, SD=O.24)
