Abstract:
Most of project valuation in any business is measured by net present value (NPV) based on discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis. DCF assumes the project payoff is static and does not consider contingent decisions available. Real options analysis (ROA) is the new paradigm that offers the new ways to address some limitations of DCF. This paper aims to show a ROA framework, the way of adaptation ROA in Logistics and Transport sector. ROA technique using binomial lattice method. A case study is Public Transportation Investment Project in Chiang Mai, Thailand is used to illustrate to this.
