Abstract:
This research aimed to explore the parents decisions in supporting youth tennis player in Bangkok Metropolis in the consumers perspectives, and parents attitudes and expectation. The survey was conducted by gathering data with the constructed questionnaires among 400 parents who support the youth tennis player in Bangkok Metropolitan area. The study engaged Statistical Analysis, namely, Mean and Standard Deviation. The findings on the need of parents suggest that parents put priority on their own desire at the highest level with heavy focus on healthy offspring and good personality. The parents convenient access to the tennis facilities also ranked high, mainly on the location of tennis court or tennis school located near the place of resident or workplace. As for the expense associated with playing tennis, the parents gave high priority to the cost, namely, time spent traveling to learn tennis. The communication on tennis-related issue, the parents paid most attention to communication with the instructor experiences in teaching at least 5 years. For the study on the parents attitude and expectation toward decisions to support the youth tennis player, it was found that the parents had focused on the benefit from playing tennis because it not only helped to develop the athletes physically, emotionally, but also their personality, followed by the leisure time spent by the player in the most productive way. Regarding expectation, the parents gave their most attention to instill their offspring the love and enjoyment from exercise.
