Abstract: ในสภาวะเศรษฐกิจที่มีการแข่งขันทางการค้าอย่างกว้างขวาง เป็นปัจจัยที่ทำให้ผู้บริหารในธุรกิจต่าง มองการขยายฐานการผลิตไปในที่ต่างๆ ทั่วโลก การขยายตัวของการลงทุนในธุรกิจไปในต่างประเทศนั้น ในแต่ละประเทศก็มีข้อดีที่เอื้อต่อการลงทุนและในขณะเดียวกันก็มีข้อเสียที่ทำให้เกิดความเสี่ยงต่อการ ลงทุน เช่น นโยบายการเมือง ค่าจ้างแรงงานหรือการขนส่งสินค้าที่มีผลต่อต้นทุนการผลิตหรือแม้กระทั่ง ปัญหาภายในแต่ละประเทศเป็นต้น บริษัทที่ผลิตฮาร์ดดิสไดร์ฟในโลกทุกบริษัทก็เช่นเดียวกัน แต่ละ บริษัทก็มีโรงงานของตัวเองกระจายอยู่ทุกทวีปทั่วโลกเช่นกัน เหตุผลเพื่อกระจายความเสี่ยงหรือเพื่อลด ต้นทุนในการผลิตทั้งสิ้น ตัวอย่างบริษัทฯ ที่ใช้เป็นกรณีศึกษาเป็นบริษัที่ดำเนินธุรกิจผลิตชิ้นส่วนและ ประกอบฮาร์ดดิสก์ไดร์ฟ ที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับสองของโลกโดยพิจารณาจากรายงานประจำปี 2551 ซึ่งมี โรงงานกระจายกันอยู่หลายทวีปทั่วโลกโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในทวีปเอเซีย ในประเทศไทยหรือในประเทศ มาเลเซีย เป็นต้น เพื่อลดความเสี่ยงในการดำเนินธุรกิจของบริษัทจึงมีนโยบายในการกระจายความเสี่ยง โดยให้มีโรงงานที่ผลิตชิ้นส่วนและสายการประกอบเป็นฮาร์ดดิสก์ไดร์ฟสำเร็จรูป อยู่ในประเทศเดียวกัน กล่าวคือ โรงงานของกรณีศึกษาซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในประเทศไทยและประเทศมาเลเซียจะต้องมีการแลกเปลี่ยน สายการผลิตและต้องมีการถ่ายโอนเทคโนโลยีและองค์ความรู้ระหว่างกัน ทำให้เกิดนวัตกรรมขึ้นซึ่งกลไก การถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีแบบสองทางเป็นสิ่งที่น่าสนใจศึกษาวิจัย

Abstract: In the free trade world and highly competitive environment, managements in various businesses need to seek their solutions to cope with the business risk. One of the solutions in manufacturing or production finns is to locate their plants in many places around the world. Sometimes the factors do not come from the business environment itself but it may come from the internal politics of each country such as the political policy. Major factors that concern management decision are labor cost and transportation cost. These factors cause management of the business looks for their solutions to reduce the business risk and operating cost. One of their solutions is the same like other big finns; having many plants covering their clients and reducing transportation cost. The company case study is the second largest Hard Disk Drive manufacturer. It also has many plants in many locations around the world, the rest of them are located at South East Asia. To reduce business risk and transportation cost, At the first time, at Thailand site, the company case study has SF, HGA, HSA, and HDD operation but at Malaysia site has only HSA and HDD operation. Case study is partial transferring the Production Lines of HGA operations from Thailand to Malaysia. This activity will create the transferring of Knowledge and Technology between countries. This collaboration will generate innovation in two-way technology transfer. This research will analyze the risk mechanism of knowledge.
