Abstract:
This project proposes to improve the digital color image watermark extraction
technique using non linear filtering method. In a watermarking process, there are two
main steps. The first is watermark embedding in which pixel values of an image are
modified by watermark and second is watermark extraction which is the recovery of
original watermark. In this project, the quality of watermarked image is improved by
modifying the luminance value of the image, in the embedding process. In the
watermark extraction process, the watermark signal is considered as a noise, and thus
can be extracted by one of an efficient noise reduction techniques i.e. non-linear
filtering.
