Abstract:
The objective of this research are 1) to describe the components of career adaptability. 2) to
analyze the comfirmatory factors of employees career adaptability by the competing model analysis.
3) to develop and test validity of structural equation model of a causal model. 4) to validate the
development of career adaptability by using latent growth curve model structure equation analysis
and 5) to develop the training work readiness program to career adaptability of employee. The sample
size of the first stage of the research consisted of 12 head of human resource. The sample size of
the second stage consisted of 200 first six months employees graduated in bachelor degree with no
work experience. The sample size of the third stage consisted of 329 first six months employees
graduated in bachelor degree with no work experience. The sample size of the fourth stage consisted
of 209 twelve to fifteenth months employees graduated in bachelor degree with work. The sample
size of the fifth stage consisted of 10 twelve to fifteenth months employees graduated in bachelor
degree with work. Analytical for descriptive statistic using the statistic Software package for
research, the second order confirmatory factor analysis, the structural Equation modeling, and latent
growth curve model. The results were as follows : 1) The career adaptability consists of 5 components
were control, curiosity, concern, endurance and courtesy. 2) Result from competitive model tested
of first versus second model show the second employees adaptability model is much more likely
to be correct than the other. 3) The causal relation model of career adaptability was fitted with
the empirical data. Chi-square goodness-of-fit test = 85.56, df = 87, p = 0.523, RMSEA = 0.000,
RMR = 0.010, GFI = 0.95, AGFI = 0.90. Work readiness, information seeking and coping could
predict 86% of career adaptability. 4) The latent growth curve model of career adaptability was
valid and fitted with the empirical data. Chi-square goodness-of-fit test = 0.92, df = 1, p = 0.338,
RMSEA = 0.000, RMR = 0.000, GFI = 0.99, AGFI = 0.97. and 5) A comparison between career
adaptabilitys pretest-posttest mean score showed significantly difference in career adaptability of
employee between before and after training with work readiness program.
