Abstract:
This research is aiming to develop the guidelines of Needs Assessment for Human Resource Development to Support Smart Factory in Medium-sized. The research was conducted through 3 steps; 1st step was literature review, 2nd step was in-depth Interview with experts and Industrial entrepreneurs who are proficient in human resources development and smart factory field, and 3rd was a survey on the topic of A Study of the Needs assessment for human resource development to support smart factory in middle industries by applying with descriptive statistic such as percentage, average, demographical data and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI modified) from sample size.
The result from the analysis of Modified Priority Needs Index revealed that the crucial factors which medium size factories should enhance in order to support the development of smart factory is Internet of things (IOT), the data should be shared and integrated on online operating platform through internet connection (PNI = 0.42) as well as Cyber Physical System (CPS) needs to implement system for inspection, command and control on every process of operating machines, (PNI = 0.88). The recommended techniques for Human resource development to support smart factory in middle industries are workshop training from both internal and external organization in order to improve learning on both theoretical and practical (PNI = 0.28) parts Before Job rotation, company should prepare operational skill for employees (PNI = 0.53), Moreover, the critical competence is teamwork, employees prioritize on teamwork over individual work (PNI = 0.43) in order to support transformation to smart factory
