Abstract:
The purpose of this research were A study of metacognition from a strategy for problem solving of mathayomsuksa two students. The target group weretwelfth grade students at Wapipathum school in thesecond semester of academic year 2019. There are 116 students from 3 rooms. The instruments for data collection were mathematical reasoning tests and semi-structural interview. The statistics used in the study were percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation. By using T criteria for grouping mathematical reasoning and presented by analytic description.
The results revealed that : Metacognition; Knowledge, most students can use strategy drawing or diagram and the strategy recall similar problems or the strategy uses variables and formulasto solve problemssome correct, In which there are 81 people, representing 54.37 percent. Planning, Most students showed incomplete or unclear instructions on how to do the stepand the answer that is incorrect. There are 173 items, equivalent to 29.83 percent. Awareness, Students have support for their own ideas or methods. There are 381 items, equivalent to 65.68 percent. The strategy most students used to solve problems of mathayomsuksa two students in Wapipathum schoolisthe strategy uses variables and formulas. There are 398 items, equivalent to 68.62 percent. Thestrategy recall similar problems. There are 182 items, equivalent to 31.38 percent. And most students use tactics to draw pictures or diagrams Helps to find answers. There are 557 items, equivalent to 96.03 percent.
