Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to develop and evaluate effectiveness the rehabilitation model for physically disabled persons in community. The sample was physically disabled person in community. There were 3 phases including 1) Situation analysis based on PRECEDE-PROCEED Model. Data were collected both quantitative and qualitative methods. The instruments consist of questionnaires about real situations, complications, rehabilitation behaviors, environment, family and community participation, quality of life and activities daily live. 2) Developed rehabilitation model for physically disabled persons from quantitative and qualitative results in first stage and review evidence based. There were guideline practice and procedure for physically disabled rehabilitation in community. 3) Evaluated physically disabled rehabilitation in community model. Data analysis were used pair t-test statistic.
From the first and second stage, the findings were shown that the rehabilitation model for physically disabled persons in community should had four elements including 1) Management factors; set policy, planning, development rehabilitation team and support. 2) Core knowledge; exercise, prevent complication, and rehabilitate by themselves. 3) Activity; find physically disabled persons in community 4) Outcomes; decrease complication, increase activities daily living and quality of life. The integrated rehabilitation model was applied to physical disabled persons in two communities. The results shown that the physically disabled persons had decrease complication. There significantly increased ability in daily living and quality of in their life. The suggestions that they should return physically disabled persons data to community, teaching and training to rehabilitation team about knowledge and skill of rehabilitation.
