Abstract:
The chemical compounds of ethyl acetate extract (EtOAc) from stems of G. rongklanus were afforded goniotriol (1) and stigmasterol glucoside (2). The EtoAc extract of leaves from G. latestigma provided pinocembrin (3). Acetyl aleuritolic acid (4) had been isolated from the EtoAc extract of stems from C. kongkandanus. The EtOAc extract, MeOH extract of G. rongklanus and the EtoAc extract from C. kongkandanus were showed evidence of anti-HIV-1 RT with % inhibition at 76.44, 88.48 and 90.57 %, respectively The EtoAc extract of G. rongklanus and G. latestigma were provided the cytotoxic activities for KB and HT 29 with ED50 at <4 ug/mL. The EtoAc extract from C. kongkandanus showed evidence of cytotoxicity with ED50 of KKU-M213, MDA-MB-231 and CL at 0.33, 0.56 and 0.62 ug/mL. In addition, antibacterial from EtoAc extract, MeOH extract, and isolated compounds showed good inhibition results. The goniotriol (1) was the most effective to antibacterial with MIC in the range <0.16 - 0.6 mg/mL and MBC in the range 0.3 - >5 mg/mL. The evaluation antibacterial activity from goniotriol (1) was the first reported
for this compound.
