Abstract:
This research was experimental research. The objectives were to construct, to determine quality, and
to determine efficiency of the learning plan of management of engine controlled by electronics
system subject upon competency based curriculum. Also, the comparative study of learning
achievement between content-based curriculum and competency-based curriculum for the subject of
engine controlled by electronics system was studied. The population of research was 34 students of
Chumporn Technical College and 32 students of Ranong Technical College. The research tools
were as follows: 6 units of learning management plan of engine controlled by electronics system
subject upon competency-based curriculum within 90 hours of learning time. Questionnaires were
evaluated by professional covered curriculum, contents, knowledge sheets, and evaluation of quality
of learning management plan. The theoretical tests using four multiple choices of 60 problems were
to compare learning achievement. Besides, three practical tests determined learning achievement.
The statistics used for analyzing were percentage, average, standard deviation and t-test.
The results found as follows:
1. The quality of learning management plan of engine controlled by electronics system
subject upon competency-based curriculum was good (x = 4.34), content was good (x = 4.32),
curriculum planning was good (x = 4.28), and knowledge sheet was good (x = 4.16) as well.
2. lfficicncy of the lcanung management plan tested in Churnporn Technical College and
Ranong Technical College were S4.9S890S and 84.23/89.96. respectively. The results showed that
efficiency were higher than the settling criterion of 80/80. Therefore, the learning management plan
of engine controlled by electronics system subject upon competency-based curriculum was able to
utilize for teaching.
3. The comparison of learning achievement of student. who studied all competency-based
curriculum and content-based curriculum using t-tcst, showed that there was significance of
difference at 0.05 levels of both theoretical and practical part for Chumpom Technical College. For
Ranong Technical College, there was no significance of difference of theoretical part; however,
there was significance of difference at 0.05 levels of practical part.
