Abstract:
This thesis aimed to design a building model constructed with double glass and single glass, to
study parameters affecting on the thermal performance of the model and to study economic
appropriate of building to double glass and single glass has been tested in the real environment.
Studied parameters in the experimental glass consisted of ambient temperature, outside glass surface
temperature, inside glass surface temperature and by the electrical consumption form air
conditioning. Analyze component of parameters in the experimental heat transfer inside. The
research results revealed that temperature outside transfer single glass wall easy more than double
glass wall. Heat transfer through single glass wall. Transfer through more quantity on the average
97.6 % Double glass wall on the average 89.1 % energy electricity use test room by setting double
glass wall will use energy less case setting single glass wall on the average 25%. It was value to
check energy electricity able concluded that the direction use energy electricity more quantity south,
second the west, the east and the north. Analyst the overall thermal transfer value (OTTV) before
value more than standard after adjust by setting double glass wall the overall thermal transfer value
(OTTV) decrease have equal to 20.53 W/m2. Economic analyst found that setting double glass wall
be able to use more than energy conservation to saving of 33 % and payback period 4.73 years.
