Abstract:
This work is to study to find an appropriate method of inspection and evaluation rupture time for a high temperature component with surface crack respect to void growth due to creep
deformation. 1st step of calculation, We will non destructive inspection (Raplica Method) for keep microstructure data. 2nd step, We will use result of microstructure for set initial condition
of void and find material such as initial strain rate of material, critical stress intensity etc. 3rd step use knowledge of fracture mechanic for calculate critical condition of void. 4th step, Calculate
reference stress and steady state stain rate . 5th step, use damage equation for calculate rupture time.
The way of study rupture time. We are device way, in the first way we will calculate rupture time from strain rate of Kachanov and Rabotnov relation, in the second way we will calculate
rupture time from strain rate of deformation map of creep. After calculate rupture time, I compared rupture time result from Larson Miller Parameter.
The result of rupture time in the first way calculation is 285 years and rupture time in the secondary way when change the steady state strain rate is 0.002 years. The major parameter of
rupture time is temperature.
