Abstract:
This study aimed to compare the individual handwritings from writing characteristics; and to study the unique of line quality from different pen types, ballpoint pen, fountain pen and felt-tip pen. The sample was 30 primary school teachers in Bangkok. The measurement and record were done, using high magnification microscope Digital CCD Microscope MS-804 Scopeman (data analysis software). SPSS was applied for comparative calculation; meanwhile, One-Way-ANOVA and Scheffe's test were applied as statistical tools for data analysis. The results of the study found that the characteristics in terms of slant, space and alignment made no significant difference; size and height made difference at .05 level of statistical significance. When applying Scheffe's method, size and height, using felt-tip pen, made difference from those using ballpoint and fountain pen at .05 level of statistical significance. In terms of line quality, size made a difference at .05 level of statistical significance; felt-tip pen was at the highest, followed by fountain pen and ballpoint pen, respectively.
