A study of learning achievement and problem solving ability by learning management through the concept of science technology society and environment approach of grade 12thstudents
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to compare the learning achievement and
problem-solving ability of grade 12th students by learning management through the
science technology society and environment approach with students group by
conventional learning management and to compare achievement and problem-solving
ability posttest score with the determined criterion of 70% of the total score after by
learning management through the science technology society and environment
approach. The participants of this research who studies in the first semester of the
academic year 2016 in Narathiwas, 82 students from 2 classes of grade 12th
were
selected by Cluster Random Sampling method. The comparison experiment was used
for this research method. The data were collected using the learning achievement and
problem-solving ability test. and were analyzed by using means, the standard deviation,
ANCOVA, and the independent sample t-test.
The findings of this research were as follows: the learning achievement and
problem-solving ability posttest score by learning management through the science
technology society and environment approach was higher than the student group by
conventional learning management with the statistical significance at .01 level. In
addition, the students learning achievement and problem-solving ability making posttest
score was higher than 70% of the total score with the statistical significance at the .01
level.
