Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) To develop the geospatial decision support
systems for real-time disaster reporting 2) To assess the development of geospatial decision
support systems for real-time disaster reporting.
For the research methodology, the researcher has developed a system using PHP and
MySQL database and for map creation, the researcher used Google Maps API as the standard to
develop the program in the form of Web Application that is compatible with various operating
system such as Android, iOS, Windows so as to enable the end users to have easy access to the
system.
The study revealed the uniqueness of the developed system, which are 1) The system
can collect data in the form of pictures, messages, coordinates, locations and report real-time
information about the current situation 2) The system is compatible with multiple operating
system on Computer System and Mobile Phone 3) The system can display the position of the
users and search for important places such as institutes related to Flood Cooperation Center or the
Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation 4) The system can determine the radius scope,
vulnerable zones, flooded areas and surveillance area according to the severity of that area.
The results of the satisfaction survey of geospatial decision support systems for
real-time disaster reporting in both fields showed that, in the field of program design, ( X =
4.725) the system satisfaction is at the highest level while in the field of program usability, ( X =
4.985) the system satisfaction is at the highest level.
