Abstract:
The purposes of the study were to: 1) develop the integrated curriculum focusing on a project-based selective course of Hydroponics secondary (grade 7-9) school students and 2) compare the students achievement before and after the test. The development of the integrated curriculum based on project-based learning consisted of four steps: (1) studying the fundamental information, (2) constructing the curriculum, (3) implementing the curriculum, and (4) evaluating and adjusting the curriculum.
The samples were 16 students from grade 9 of the Demonstration School, Silpakorn
University, in the second semester of the academic year 2017. The method of Purposive sampling was used in the study. The tools were the project-based integrated curriculum, the learning management plans, and the achievement tests. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation and t-test dependent hypothesis test.
The results were as follows: 1) the integrated curriculum focusing on a project-based selective course of Hydroponics for junior high school students consisted of the philosophy, the curriculum principles, the curriculum objectives, the curriculum contents, the course description, the structure of syllabus, the study time, the media and learning resources and the measurement and the evaluation. The curriculum was appropriate at high level (X̅=4.23, S.D. = 0.478). 2) The post-test showed that the students achievement after learning the integrated curriculum focused on project based selective course of Hydroponics for junior high school was higher than pre-test at statistical significance level of .05.
