Abstract: Temperature indicates a thermal comfort in a building. Temperature change in a building may be caused by parameters outside a building, such as a rate of heat transfer and an approaching air velocity, and parameters inside a building, such as arrangements of office partitions. To study these effects, CFD was used to calculated temperature distribution in a 8.00 x 12.25 x 2.90 m3 building having approaching air velocity of 0.4, 1.4 and 3.2 m/s and heat flux to the front and the side of a building varied from 0-110 W/m2. Simulation results showed that temperature inside a building increased with increasing of the heat flux at the front wall of a building. But temperature decreased with increasing of approaching air velocity. In the case of an approaching air velocity of 0.4 m/s and a constant heat flux of 55 W/m2 at the front wall. Installation of partition with width of 4.00 m and height of 2.00 m in the middle of building which far from the front wall 4.00 m gave uniform air velocity distribution and temperature behind the partition decreased. The partition which far from the front wall 2.00 m with width of 2.00 m and height of 1.70 m lay on the left side of the building, it was found that this position also gave uniform air velocity distribution. For temperature distribution in the building, it was found that the temperature in the building was slightly different when the front wall has uniform heat flux of 55 W/m2. The temperature at the regions which far from the front wall 1.00 m was higher than the other regions due to the effect of heat flux at the front wall. To compare the calculated results of 2D and 3D, the results revealed that the results of calculation were different about 0.17 %.
