Abstract: iEARN (International Educationand Resource Network) is a non-profitg lobal network provided for young people to use the Internet and other new technologies in collaborative educational projects (www.iearn.org/home.html).The iEARN Project in this study was an essay writing project which enabled students to use the iEARN website as a medium for interacting with other students around the world and as an informative resource. Therefore,this research study aims to investigate the effects of iEARN Project on students'process of writing in the aspects of input sand feedback. The subjects involved in this study were five M.4 students from Bangpakok wittayakom School.All the subjects were selected on a voluntary basis.The instruments used for data collecting were students'written work,messages on the iEARN discussion forums, observation records,and interviews. There sult of the study revealed that the use of the Internet in the iEARN Project do not have much effect on the students'process of writing.The students only brought the experiences from reading other students'messages as the inputs about the ideas of topic and contents of the essay and asthe inspiration for changing the title of the essay.The findings also showed that the students had less motivation to follow up their correspondences on the iEARN website because of the technical problems and free time; thus,they did not have any online interaction or collaboration.This showed that the students might not realize the benefits of the Internet for the essay writing project and had less motivation to use it.However,they had positive attitudes to wards the iEARN Project. From these findings, it can be seen that the students may not be able to utilize the Internet for the project work effectively if they do not understand how to apply it for their own project, and if they are not interested in using it.To succeed in integrating the technology like the Internet into students'project work,the teacher has the most important role. Teacher training and online project management is the important factors that should be considered before integrating an online project into language classroom.

Abstract: iEARN (เครือข่ายที่ให้บริการแหล่งข้อมูลและการศึกษาระหว่างประเทศ) เป็นเครือข่ายที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อให้เยาวชน ทั่วโลกได้ใช้อินเตอร์เน็ตและเทคโนโลยีต่างๆ ในการทำโครงงานเพื่อการศึกษาแบบร่วมมือกันระหว่างประเทศ โครงงาน IEARN ในงานวิจัยนี้เป็นโครงงานเขียนเรียงความที่นักเรียนสามารถใช้เว็บไซต์ของ iEARN เพื่อเป็นสื่อ กลางในการสื่อสารกับนักเรียนคนอื่นๆ ทั่วโลกโดยใช้เป็นแหล่งข้อมูลในการเขียน งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งศึกษาผลโครงการ iEARN ที่มีต่อกระบวนการเขียนของนักเรียน กลุ่มประชากรที่เกี่ยวข้องในการวิจัยนี้ได้แก่ นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ของโรงเรียนบางปะกอกวิทยาคม จำนวน 5 คน ทุกคนให้ความร่วมมือโดยความสมัครใจ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูลได้แก่ งานเขียนของนักเรียน ข้อความของนักเรียนคนอื่นๆ เข้ามาเป็นข้อมูลทางความคิดในเรื่องการเลือกหัวข้อและเนื้อหาของเรียงความ และเป็นเพียงสิ่งที่กระตุ้นให้นักเรียนเปลี่ยนวิธีการตั้งชื่อของเรียงความเท่านั้น นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ความสนใจ ของนักเรียนที่จะติดตามข้อความที่ติดต่อกับนักเรียนคนอื่นๆ ผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ iEARN นั้นมีน้อย เพราะปัญหา ทางด้านเทคนิคและเวลาที่จำกัด ดังนั้นนักเรียนจึงไม่ได้มีการสื่อสารหรือทำงานโดยร่วมมือกันแบบออนไลน์ ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นว่านักเรียนไม่ได้ตระหนักถึงและมีความสนใจที่จะใช้อินเตอร์เน็ตเพื่อทำโครงงานการเขียน เรียงความ แต่อย่างไรก็ตามนักเรียนทุกคนมีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อโครงงาน iEARN จากผลการวิจัยดังกล่าว เป็นที่สังเกตได้ว่านักเรียนอาจจะไม่สามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากอินเตอร์เน็ต สำหรับการทำโครงการได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ หากนักเรียนไม่เข้าใจว่าจะต้องประยุกต์ใช้อินเตอร์เน็ต อย่างไรเพื่อทำโครงงานของตนเอง ผู้สอนมีบทบาทสำคัญมากในการที่จะทำให้ การนำเทคโนโลยี เช่น อินเตอร์เน็ต ไปใช้ในการเรียนการสอนในห้องเรียนประสบความสำเร็จ ปัจจัยสำคัญๆ ที่ผู้สอนต้องคำนึงถึงคือ การฝึกอบรมผู้สอนและการบริหารจัดการโครงงานแบบออนไลน์
