Abstract:
This self-study aimed to study the factors affecting organizational commitment and study the level of commitment to the organization of Generation Y Group personnel at MaeSot Hospital by using quantitative research methods. The researcher collected data from a group of MaeSot Hospital the Generation Y personnel at MaeSot Hospital who were in aged between 21-38 years. Sampling without replacement sampling was used to the sample group of 220 people. Research tools was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation and discussion. The study found that most of respondents were female, with marital status, working period of more than 10 years and had a Bachelor's Degree. The results revealed that the commitment to the organization in the overall aspects was at a high level namely; 1) The retention with the organization, personnel were highly determined to work until retirement. 2) The sense of commitment, personnel were proud to be part of the organization. 3) The social norms, the generation Y personnel were willing to use all the capacities at work. In addition, the sample groups who worked in different periods of time showed different opinions in organizational commitment statistically significant at the 0.05 level. Suggestions from the study was that the hospital should support a teamwork system with variety working methods.
