Abstract:
This study aimed to study factors affecting job performance motivation of Generation Y group in Phayao provincial administration organization (Phayao PAO) problems and obstacles affecting work motivation of Generation Y personnel in Phayao PAO, and to find a suggestion for creating motivation of Generation Y group in Phayao PAO. This study was a quantitative study that collected data from various documents, both theoretical concepts, related research, and factors that affected the motivation of personnel performance. A questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The purposive samplings were 48 civil servants, and 104 Phayao PAO personnel, totaling 152 persons.
The results of this study revealed that factors affecting job performance motivation of Generation Y group in the Phayao PAO were rated at a high level ( = 3.77). When considering each factor in detail with motivation factors, it was found that the personal succession in working was rated the highest level ( = 4.07). Job advancement was at the lowest level ( = 3.30). The supporting factors showed that the working environment and private living conditions were at the highest level (= 3.94), and the compensation and welfare were at the lowest level (= 3.45)
The hypothesis testing found that Generation Y officers and employees in the Phayao PAO, who have personal characteristics in different statuses. This affects the motivation factor and supporting factors in the operation that was not different. The Sig value of each side was greater than the statistically significant level at 0.05. The problems and obstacle affecting factors affecting the working motivation of the Generation Y group in Phayao PAO were the problem Y personnel performance, personal development, and lack of working equipment.
