Abstract: This project is a 3D Animation demonstrating the opening sequence of Yoga, also known asSun Salutation, by using Softimage 3D on a Silicon Graphic computer. The modeling structureconsists of many articulated chains, forming a skeleton; therefore, the kinematics animationtechnique, particularly forward kinematics, can apply to it.250 frames of animated images were rendered and then transferred to a personnal computer(PC) by using WS-FTP. All of the pictures were constructed sequentially by Adobe Premiere 4.2program. Finally, the outcome is a 10 second animated video clip showing the dynamic flow of SunSalutation on the PC.
