Abstract:
This study entitled The Development of Water-related Activity for Tourism of Kwan Phayao, Thailand used a mix-method between quantitative and qualitative research. The objectives of this study are to the laws and policies of government agencies, community and private opinions, tourists opinions and guideline for development of water-related activity for tourism of Kwan Phayao. The research found that Kwan Phayao is an important international wetland according to cabinet announcement 2009. There is a comprehensive law include, laws related to buildings, laws related to vehicles, laws related to pollution, laws related to land use, and laws related to plants and trees. In terms of policies of government agencies for development of water-related activity for tourism of Kwan Phayao found that many agencies have policies to develop Kwan Phayao. Most of them will develop Phayao as an ecotourism city. Learn the lifestyle of the community in a creative economy. In community and private opinions found that the development of water-related activity for tourism of Kwan Phayao should be managed in all sectors such as government agencies, local community and private sector. Tourists opinions found that most visitors got to know the activities that ever happened in Kwan Phayao and expectations are high that those activities should be next. Including in respect of future activities that should festival of lanterns in the lake is a fascinating activity to be able to attract tourists traveling in the province increased. Especially Kwan Phayao should have boating to see lifestyle of fishermen. This activity reflects the identity of the Kwan Phayao as well. The facilities and services required around the lake is the toilets are most important. Finally the guideline for development of water-related activity for tourism of Kwan Phayao should have 5 plans include 1) attraction plans 7 projects 2) water-related activity plans 14 projects 3) management plans 7 project 4) marketing communication and public relations plans 6 projects and 5) service plans 13 projects"
