Causal factors of organizational citizenship behavior of personnel in the electronic components industry with spiritual intelligence as a mediator variable
Abstract:
The research method has been used in this research to study the causal factors of organization citizenship behavior of personnel in the electronic components industry with spiritual intelligence as a mediator variable and the research objectives are 1) To study the meaning of spiritual intelligence and factors originating it and it can create organization citizenship behavior, 2) To study the elements to measuring the emotional intelligence, working behaviors in Brahmavihara or four noble sentimental styles, future orientation, spiritual intelligence and organization citizenship behavior, 3) To develop and examine accordance of the equation model simulating the structure of factors which influence the organization citizenship behavior whereby its personnel's spiritual intelligence was used as the mediator variable and 4) To study the results of the program for development of the personnels organizational citizenship behavior after they had been trained. The study of first objective is the qualitative research which is to study the meaning of spiritual intelligence, factors affecting it and the spiritual intelligence that affected personnels organizational citizenship behavior by using semi-structured in-depth interviews. The key informants included 9 Dharma scholars and spiritual specialists. The second objective is to determine the consistency of the measurement model and to study the elements that will be used to create questionnaires consisted of 5 variables to be distributed among the sample group, who were 150 employees in offices of an Industrial electronic factories in Navanakorn Industrial Estate. The third objective is to examine the accordance of the simulation model measuring organizational citizenship behavior, spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence, working behavior in Brahmavihara or four noble sentimental style and future orientation. The research sample group were 547 employees in the offices of five Industrial electronic factories in Navanakorn and Bang Kradi Industrial Estates. Fourth objective is to study the efficiency of the program designed to develop organizational citizenship behavior. The sample group in training program was 12 employees in offices of an electronic industrial factory in Navanakorn Industrial Estate. The research result was founded that 1) The spiritual intelligence meant setting a goal in an individual life to behave in value, self-reliance, expression of various behaviors in good way, always being conscious or aware to continue living in merit and ethics and can develop oneself mind in good classical ways. Whereby the spiritual intelligence can result employees in organizational citizenship behavior. 2) Factors which caused spiritual intellectual were as follows (1.) Emotional intelligence, composed of 5 aspects : Self- awareness, Self-regulation, Self-motivation Empathy and Social skills. (2.) Working behavior in Brahmavihara or four noble sentimental styles, consisting of 4 components : Working behavior with loving-kindness, Working behavior with Compassion, Working behavior with Sympathetic joy and Working behavior with equanimity, and (3.) Future Orientation consisted of 3 components : Future expectations, Action for the future and Self control Spiritual intelligence can cause the organizational citizenship behavior. Confirmatory factor analysis of all that parameters were harmonized with the empirical data. 3) The analysis result of the structural equation of the factors which influenced the organizational citizenship behavior by usage of the spiritual intelligence as a mediator variable in accordance with the empirical data in good criteria or the simulation model was statistically accurate for Chi-square = 179.30, df=159, P-value = 0.129, RMSEA = 0.015. Finally, 4) The comparison of the spiritual intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior before and after the personnel had attended the training program developing organizational citizenship behavior, the employees who obtained the training program had higher spiritual intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior than were before the training program with statistical significance at the .01 level.
