Abstract:
Finite-Element method approximation to solutions of the Transport Equation isanalyzed. This approximation is generated by Galerkin method to reduce the TransportEquation to a system of ordinary differential equations and Runge-Kutta method oforder-four is used to obtain the final solution of the problem. Stability and errorestimates of the approximate solutions for the Galerkin methods are discussed. The te:;lexamples are demonstrated with the use of FORTRAN programming and numericalresults are compared with the known solutions of the problem.
