Abstract:
The damage of the important equipment on Power Plant whom may be could notoperation to produce the electricity as cause be occurred a lot of lose. The one of criticalequipment which be found that to damage and The Power Plant must to be stopped tooperation in long time is The Steam Turbine Blades. Due to the steam turbine blades arepart of high speed rotation. And operated in high temperature and high pressure incontinuous condition.When the SteamTurbine Blades were damaged.They may be used foroperation on temporary time But in mostly could not use to operation in time. The SteamTurbine Blades are higher expensive part and taken longer time to arrangement. So that thedecrease of lose when the Steam Turbine Blades are damaged. Need planning to correctedthe damage blades on suitable by the arrangement of spare parts, the preparation of toolsand machine, ect. In order to Power Plant can operate and produce the electricity in thesoonest as not need to be occurred damage in same condition.The Martensitic Stainless Steel AISI 4XX is the group of stainless steel which usedto prevent the erosion and used to made the parts of machine that be concerned to steamoperation and Gas Turbine. Besides of this they can use to made the cutting tools andbearing.The Martensitic Stainless Steel is not prevent the corrosion resistance as same as theAustenitic and Ferritic Stainless Steel. The Martensitic Stainless Steel has medium coldforming steel and could be welding. But normally need to annealing in order to avoid ofcracked.The strength is increased on maximum and can prevent the corrosion.The aim of this research is to study the welding procedure for repair of crackedSteam Turbine Blades that be made from The Martensitic Stainless Steel (SUS420).The welding process that be used to repair welding is GTAW, Filler metal of austenitic andmartensitic is ER316L, ER410 , respectively. To study the welding parameter on suitablesuch as heat treatment(Pre heat, Post heat), Current,Volt, Gas Shielding and Shielding gasFlow rate,ect.After finished the repair welding of cracked steam turbine blades and inspect thedefect of welding by Liquid Penetrant test and after that to post weld heat treatment.For therepair welding of steam turbine blades which be welded by ER316L will be post heattreatment at temperature 600 ?C ,625 ?C ,650 ?C ,675 ?C on 1 hour , respectively. Anotherblades which be welded by ER410 will be post heat treatment at temperature 700 ?C,725 ?C,750 ?C,775 ?C on 1 hour ,respectively. after finished post heat treatment. Need to inspect theweldment again by Radiographic test (X-Ray) and Mechanical Properties test such asMicrohardness test and Microstructure Examination on HAZ, Weld Metal and Base Metalin order to find out the carbide on grain boundaries that be occurred corrosion and crack.Besides of above inspection shall be Natural Frequency Test Blades compare with originalnew Blade to be ensure that repair welding of cracked blades can be used for the intendedservice.
