Abstract:
This research aimed to study academic supports of school administrators in school Tam Hnak Sai, the elementary education program in region 4, identified four areas: curriculum; instruction; personnel development; and media, materials and equipment, and to compare the academic supports of the schools administrators, classified by gender, age, education level, and work experience. Population included 202 school administrators and teachers in Tam Hnak Sai schools in an academic year 2011. 133 persons were randomized by simple random sampling. The sample size determined by the Krejcie and Morgans table. Questionnaire was used for collecting data. Statistics used in data analysis composed of percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test.
The results were as follows:
Mosts of the respondents are females (79 persons, 59.4%), aged younger than 45 years (77 persons, 57.9%), Bachelor degree graduation (89 persons, 66.9%) had working experience more than 10 years (80 persons, 60.2%).
Academic support of the school administrators and teachers in Tam Hnak Sai schools under Sisaket Primary Educational Service Area 4 in an overall was at a high level ( = 4.13). Considering each aspect, it was also found high level in every aspect, as follows: media, materials and equipment aspect ( = 4.28), instructional aspect ( = 4.17), personnel development aspect ( = 4.05), and curriculum aspect ( = 3.92), respectively.
The opinion on the academic support of the school administrators in Tam Hnak Sai schools under the Sisaket Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 found that different gender, age, and education level had no significantly difference.
The opinion on the academic support of the school administrators found that different working experience had significantly difference at .05 level.
