Abstract:
The research had objectives to study (1) the components of products which affected decision making of vetiver grass handicrafts of ornament type of a Group of Artificial Flower from Natural Materials Occupational Community, (2) theperception of the brand based on Model 3I which affected consumers decision making of vetiver grass handicrafts of ornament type of a Group of Artificial Flower from Natural Materials Occupational Communiy, and (3) guides of the development of handicraft products of a Group of Artificial Flower from Natural Materials Occupational Community in Khlong Takrao Sub-district, Tha Takiap District, ChachoengsaoProvince. The study was a quantitative research and the data were collected through indepth interview.Purposive sampling was used to determine the sample group consisting of consumers in Muang District, Chon Buri Province and a group of producers who made artificial flowers from natural materials in Khlong Takrao Sub-district, Tha Takiap District, Chachoengsao Province. The findings revealed that for the components of the products, the producers should develop the brand to be recognized as the products made of natural and environmentally friendly materials. The color of the brand should be natural. To packaging, the group should use the paper box or bag which was transparent so that the products could be seen easily and the package could cover the product well. To the design of the products, the producers should study more data of both pattern and design. The design should be extraordinary and modern. The products should be dyed with the color of Vetiver leaves in order to attract consumers. The dying color should be natural dye such as yellow from turmeric, and there should be different patterns, designs and the sizes of the products. To the perception of the brand based on Model 3I, the identity of the products should convey the use of natural materials, and the image should convey that the products were environmentally friendly. The real value of the product was to make the community proud and enable them to have income. The producer of the products should consider the usefulness of the products the most because the consumers put an emphasis on the usefulness of the products for their decision making. The guide for making handicrafts in ornament type was that the producers had to maintain the identity of the product; combine vetiver grass with natural material, use natural color; increase the variety of the products in term of pattern, design, and color; and develop package to be durable and appropriate for the products and the package should cover the products well.
