A Study of Present Situation and Expectation Concerning Utilization of Computer for Instruction the Business Computer Students at Vocational Diploma Level in Commercial Colleges under the Vocational Education Department in Bangkok Betropolis

Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study and to compare present situation and expectation concerning utilization of computer for instruction the business computer students at Vocational Diploma Level in commercial colleges under the Vocational Education Department in Bangkok metropolis. The research emphasized on computer instruction, materials, staff and placement. The sample groups were 28 teachers and 540 students. A questionnaire was used as a tool in the study. Data were analyzed by Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation, Coefficient of Variation (C.V.) and t- test. The findings were as follows: The present situation and the expectation concerning utilization of computer for instruction were found that, for the teachers, they had highest expectation in every aspects. But in the present situation, the utilization of computer for instruction were in the medium level. For the students, they had two highest expectation on staff and Placement, the other factors were high. But in the present situation, the utilization of computer for instruction on staff were in the high level, the other factors were in the medium level and Comparison of the difference between the present situation and the expectation of the teachers showed that the value of expectation had not quite different and the C.V. were less than the present situation and Comparison of the difference between the present situation and the expectation of the students showed that the value of expectation was much than the present situation in every aspects. There was a significant difference at the level of 0.01.
