Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to determine a level of opinions among service users towards quality of service provided by Makham Hospital, Amphoe Makham, Chanthaburi Province and to compare their level of opinions as classified by gender, age, occupation, and monthly income. The subjects participating in this study were 400 people, using service at Makham Hospital. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire with a level of reliability of 0.84. The data were analyzed by both descriptive and inferential statistics. The tests of t-test and One-way ANOVA were administered to compare the differences between independent variables with 3 groups onwards. To test the differences between pairs, the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) was employed. The results of this study revealed that the level of quality of service provided by Makham Hospital, Amphoe Makham, Chanthaburi Province was found at a good level. When considering each aspect of quality of service, the one in relation to tangibility was rated the highest, followed by the quality of service relating to responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and reliability, respectively. All of these aspects of quality of service were rated at a good level. Based on the results from the tests of hypotheses, it was shown that there were statistically significant differences in the level of opinions towards quality of service provided by Makham Hospital, Amphoe Makham, Chanthaburi Province among the subjects with different gender, age, occupation, and monthly income at a significant level of .05. Thus, the hypotheses were accepted.
