Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the problems of the internal quality assurance implementation in schools under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 classified by school sizes. The sample consisted of 284 teachers selected by stratified random sampling, using Taro Yamane formula with the error level of .05. The instrument used was a five-point rating scale questionnaire containing 46 items with a consistency index of .67-1.00, and a reliability of 0.99. The statistics used for analysis included frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test. The results were as follows: 1.The problems of internal quality assurance performances in basic education schools under schools under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 as a whole and in each aspect were at a moderate level. In order of high level to low level, the results were as follows: standard set of educational institutions, provision for the evaluation of the quality standard of educational institutions, plan of management development of educational institutions that focus on the educational standard of educational quality, preparation of annual reports on the evaluation of the quality report, implementation of the plan of management development of educational institutions, provision for the development of continuing education, management and information systems, and provision for monitoring the quality of education. 2.The comparison of the problems of the internal quality assurance implementation in the educational institutions under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, classified by school sizes, revealed no statistically significant difference both as a whole and in each aspect which did not meet the research hypotheses.
