Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to investigate factors affecting the needs for labor and to examine desired laborer attributes as required by Vuqtex Company (Thailand) in a section of auto-part production. The population participating in this study was 117 employees, including those in top-management level, a middle level, and division heads. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation. The results of the study revealed that the majority of participants were male who were division heads for practitioner level, and worked for production monitoring division. Also, the level of factors affecting the needs for labor of Vuqtex Company (Thailand) was found at a high level. In addition, external factors were rated with the highest means as factors influencing the needs for labor, followed by internal factors. Finally, the level of desired laborer attributes was found at high level. Specifically, the attribute in relation to the ability of laborers was rated with the highest means, followed by their personality and knowledge, respectively
