Abstract:
The purpose of this study was threefold. First, it aimed at examining a level of work effectiveness of personnel working for Nong Prue Municipality. Also, this study attempted to investigate administrative factors of NongPrue Municipality. The third purpose of this study was to determine administrative factors influencing work effectiveness of these personnel as classified by gender, age, status, educational level, work position, and amount of income. The population participating in this study was 485 personnel working for Nong Prue Municipality. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The descriptive statistical tests used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation. Also, the inferential statistics including the tests of correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis with ENTER method was administered at a significant level of .05. The results of this study revealed that the level of work effectiveness of the subjects was found at a good level. Specifically, the aspect of work effectiveness in relation to output was rated the highest, followed by the aspects relating to administrative process and expense, respectively. The administrative factors of personnel working for Nong Prue Municipality were found at a good level. Specifically, the factor in relation to monitoring was rated the most effective, followed by the factors relating to supervision, coordination, planning, and organizational management,respectively. Based on the test of hypotheses, it was found that the administrative factors, including the ones in relation to planning, organizational management, supervision, coordination, and monitoring affected positively work effectiveness of personnel working for Nong Prue Municipality at a significant level of .05.
