Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the efficiency of the story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners to meet the criteria set at 80/80; 2) to compare the students creative thinking before and after learning through the story-telling with pictures exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners; 3) to investigate the effectiveness index of the story-telling with picture exercises; 4) to explore the students; satisfaction towards the story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners. The samples were 30 second year kindergartners 2/1 students studying in the second semester of the academic year 2010 at Anuban Non Dindang School, Non Dindang District, Buriram Province, under Buriram Primary Education Service Area office 3, selected by using the simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study were 1) 24 story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners; 2) 8 of the experience management plans by using the story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners; 3) a creative thinking test based on Jellen and Urban as TCT-DP; and 4) a 10 item satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, E1/E2 , and E.I. The hypothesis was tested by using dependent samples t-test.
The findings were as follows :
1.The efficiency of the story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners was 84.75/83.75 which was higher than the criteria set at 80/80
2.The students creative thinking after learning through the story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners was higher than of those before learning at the statistical significant difference at the level of .01.
3.The effective index of studying through the story-telling with picture exercises to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners was 0.6883 which meant the students achievement increased 68.83 %
4.The satisfaction of student towards learning through the story-telling with picture exercise to enhance creative thinking for the second year kindergartners as whole was at high level.
