Abstract:
This classroom-based research study was conducted to investigate teh effects of theKMUTT studenta' grammar self-studyuing in KMUTT SALC on their self-correctionand on their written production.The subjects were 7 first-year students at KMUTT who enroole in LNG 101:Fundamental English I. The instuments used were students' eritten tasks, students'record sheets and cemi-dtructured intervies.The findings of this study revealed that the students had developed in two aspects."Firstly, five out of seven students (71.43%) could self-correct assigned grammar points.The other aspect concerned the quality of their writing, that is, they were able to writemore grammatically acceptable sentence strutures, Morecover, the students wereconfident in writing more xomplicate and longer sentences, The increase quality ofwriting tasks was likely due to the suitability of learning processes, materials used, anfthe exercise types, They provided ascquacy and quality of practice, Nevertheless, thedegree of their success in delf-studying and self-correction depended on teacher'ssupport in terms of coundelling and lerarner training. Through this support, the studentswould be able to c onsuct delf-study effectively.
